Update: Large Size Replacement Nationals

About a year ago, I concluded my blog series on Large Size Replacement Nationals.  Since then, I've given a presentation and printed an 8-page handout for Memphis 2013.  The presentation (it can be downloaded here: https://www.spmc.org/member-presentations) was well received and was the best attended seminar at the convention.  An article is forthcoming in Bank Note Reporter.

I wanted to update the status of research and present the census of known replacements.  This information will work its way into NBN Census, the online census of national bank notes at www.nbncensus.com, where a field indicating replacements will be added.

We're up to 128 recorded notes at this time  Here is the breakdown of LSRNs by type and denomination:

I was fortunate to pick up three replacments in Lyn Knight's auction at Memphis, two of which were new to the census.  I've included images of them, below.

The complete census can also be found below, downloadable as PDF.  As always, I am happy to receive your reports of discoveries for the census.  Feel free to post them in our forum, too.
