SPMC Zoom Membership Meeting and Seminars

SPMC will host a general membership meeting meeting open to everyone on Saturday, February 27, 2021.  It will be followed by a series of currency-related seminars presented by various experts in their fields of specialization.

Following is the meeting agenda (all times are CENTRAL TIME):

  • 9:30am:  Shawn Hewitt, President, SPMC Membership Meeting

  • 10:00am:  Shawn Hewitt - "Large Size Replacement National Bank Notes"

  • 11:00am:  Pierre Fricke - "The History of Collecting Confederate Paper Money and a Brief Look Forward"

  • 12:00pm:  Robert Calderman - "Cherry Picking 101"

  • 1:00pm:  Cody Regennitter - "Iowa National Bank Notes: A General Overview"

  • 2:00pm:  Wendell Wolka - “Issues of the Butcher, Baker, and Candlestick Maker -- Personal IOUs in Times of Financial Crisis and War in America -- 1812-1865”

  • 3:00pm:  Benny Bolin - "Laban Heath: More than a Counterfeit Detector"

  • 4:00pm:  Mark Drengson - "What's New with the Bank Note History Project"​
