Serial number stop symbols
If you look at these bills, you will see that the serial numbers have a symbol afterwards.

Does anyone have a definite list of symbols? How about some information on them - why are they there, etc? How do they correlate to Fr numbers?

If you go to : us currency.gov/denominations that should provide you with most of the info you are seeking. You can also do an internet search .I hope this is some help.
